Best Cheesy Potato Casserole Recipe

We love this savory and satisfying old-fashioned cheesy potato casserole. You might have heard it called funeral potatoes as well. It’s the best side dish — rich and creamy homemade comfort food oven baked from scratch.

I serve this with dinner but it’s also yummy for breakfast or brunch with pancakes, eggs, or toast.

PRO TIP: My aunt keeps this warm in a crockpot at big family meals so it’s nice and warm for everyone to enjoy.
