Make This Cocktail: Mimeo
Posted by admin on
The latest subscription box from Shaker & Spoon arrived last weekend, and its three cocktails all center around blanco tequila.
The first drink I made, the Mimeo, includes among its components chinotto (“key-no-to”) soda, a bitter-ish Italian aperitif soda that tastes sort of like an unsweetened cola. It’s apparently made with the fruit of the myrtle-leafed orange tree, and it was a new discovery for me.
(I thought chinotto was the brand of soda until I looked it up online; my particular bottle that was delivered in the kit was made by Lurisia Il Nostro, pictured at right.)
This drink was a nice change in that you construct it right in the glass — no shaker required.
